According to a recent British Heart Foundation report, heart and circulatory diseases cause nearly a quarter (24 per cent) of all deaths in Northern Ireland, or around 4,000 deaths each year, with around 1100 of these occurring in people under the age of 75.  

It is estimated that 225,000 people in Northern Ireland are living with heart and circulatory diseases, with 80% of those people having at least one other health condition.
